From the Milan-Naples (A1):
FIRENZE-IMPRUNETA: exit, drive to Florence on Via Senese for about 4 miles, turn right in Via del Gelsomino and drive for about 1 km, turn left at the traffic lights onto Viale Poggio Imperiale, Piazzale Porta Romana to go straight on Viale Petrarca, outnumbered 3 to the 3rd traffic lights turn right into Via di Monte Oliveto, 2. FROM FIRENZE SMN STATION: leave tracks behind right down the stairs, cross the road go left, around the palace and go straight to the Tree Way, go straight at the bridge A. Vespucci, after crossing turn right, after 20m turn left along the walls of Florence, go to the Porta San Frediano, turn right passing under (Via Pisana) and go straight to the third left the B&B in Via di Monte Oliveto 2 BY BUS main station of Santa Maria Novella take bus 12 (direction of Piazzale Michelangelo) Get off at Viale R.Sanzio/Via Monte Uliveto. Walk for 50 meters and you reach the B&B Porta San Frediano.
